I received the True Fit (Casino) from Amazon yesterday. I installed it today. I was so excited, but now I feel a bit ambivalent about it. Here are my comments.

-I did a lot of reading about the EFTA v TF and settled on the TF, hoping the higher weight limit would allow extended use. I still feel pretty good about that. There was no price difference between the two for me.

-I tried the EFTA in BRU. I thought the knobs were okay, but could present a problem. I'm not bothered by the 'buried' harness adjuster on the TF. My seat backs have a little bit of indentation, which allows me to access the adjuster. Hopefully, I won't change it that much anyway. But I figured that people complain about the knobs on the EFTA and the harness adjuster on the TF, so they cancel each other when comparing.

-My DD is about 27.5 inches and 19 lbs. I have her harness height at position 2. I didn't realize that so much of the padding comes out at position 2+ and/or 22 lbs. The seat w/o the extra padding seems comfortable, but not really extraordinary.

-Installation was pretty easy! I read the instructions a few times and looked at a short video on Learning Curves' website to understand how the seat worked. I took my time to get it right and tight. I did have a bit of difficulty getting the red lock off nearest the seat buckle to snap. The vehicle's seat buckle was pushing the lock off back up a little bit. I finally worked that out. (Still plan to get this install checked by a tech).

-The TF doesn't really take up more room than the Snugride my DD was using. I kept reading comments about how huge and heavy the TF was. It's not as heavy as carrying my DD around in her Snugride! I was expecting the TF to be much bigger than it is. I have a 2001 Nissan Altima, and it fits fine.

-The instructions for use and installation were minimal. I feel that the info on this website was critical to fully understand how to properly install the seat and what to expect. I find that a bit disturbing. But maybe that's what this site is for!

-I have the recline at a level I am visually pleased with - not fully back, not too far upright. However, I have no idea what the degree is. The instructions don't indicate how to assess this. I am using a folder towel under the seat.

Well, I'll stop here. We're going to use it for a few days to see how DD likes and then order another for DH's car.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I know you said you got it worked out, so this may just be for the benefit of others reading...you can twist the buckle stalk up to 3 full 360* turns to get it down and out of the way. I have to do that in the center of my Explorer.

I am considering the same seat, in the same color. I to will have to remove the insert right from the beginning, could you tell me what color is underneath? Pictures would be great, but just to know the color would be nice. I too have my concerns will this seat, it will be interesting to find out what you think. Do you agree with people saying that the child seems lost in the seat? Too wide to sleep comfortably, head slump?? Thanks!

My ds is skinny and tall - well, for his age anyways. I do think if he was a little wider he'd fit a bit better, but he does fit it fine even with his build. So far as head slump, his head goes to the side. I thought it looked awful the first time I stopped and looked back, but it's not chin to chest and it doesn't bother him - and it's still pretty much contained within the shell of the seat. His head went to the side in a similar way in the EFTA, and in the Radian when he used it briefly last week as well. All of these seats tend to have a wider interior, so the head going to the side is going to pretty normal I think. Whether or not it bugs the child will vary though...

I can imagine that a really young baby might look quite 'swallowed up' by the TF, but I've never seen an itty-bitty in one, since my DS was 13 months (and already about 33" and 29lbs at that point) when we bought ours. When he sleeps, his head does go to the side, but the sides of the seat make a nice resting place, instead of in his old seat (MA) where his head just sort of looked like it was hanging in space, kwim?

Remember that you can always use the head pillow in the TF, too. The infant padding has to come out, but the pillow can be used as long as you want to. We take ours when we go on longer trips.
