Installing Britax Regent in Pontiac Montana

Thanks to the great advice on this site, we got our son (he has special needs) a Britax Regent. I was trying to install it today and came across a problem!

I have the shoulder/lap belt all set up fine....the seat moves MAYBE 1/4 an inch in any direction. But when I try to clip on the top tether....I can't get it to go on!

I tired for about 20 minutes earlier today and then tried again this evening. No luck.

A friend of mine said that "they never fit" but the instructions say that for kids weighing 40 pounds or more, you HAVE to use the top tether.

It's a special trick. I hate those TAs. The way I do it is, I take the tether and clip it on upside down (pointing down) and then you can rotate it around until it's pointing up. Otherwise, the little hole is way to small for the TA to fit into.

I had this car and when I first tried to use the tether the piece of plastic was covering up the tether slot. I had to pull it up and then fold the seats in the back down/up to reach the spot.
