I'm going to be using my TB tomorrow for Hannah for the first time and I just realized I have to put the screws in and pick a arm rest height. I hope the screws are in the box because they're not in the plastic bag with the clip. Anyway, The question. Since I can't try it ahead of time, what arm rest position would anyone suggest. She's 6.5 but she's short - same height as her 5 year old brother and maybe 41 - 42 lbs, Don't know her height.
Does it matter really, or if it's lower will it put the seat belt lower? My first booster time!! TIA

Changing the armrest height does not change how the belt fits. It does make it easier to get the belt on if the armrests are in the higher position. Plus, if they are taller, they are more likely to be where your child can actually use them. That's what I've found anyway.

Okay, thanks. I'll just leave them then and put in the screws. I found them so yay!!

This is going to be a bit of a strange question but what screws are you talking about?? I have a 4 year old TB and don't remember screws and I have looked at mine and I don't see where they go. I am using mine as a low back now as DS is 8.5 and way two tall for the high back part.

Here is an article about the screws, with a good picture:

Some people actually DO find that lowering the armrests makes the belt ride lower (safer) on the lap. It may depend partly on the kid and the belt geometry, but it's worth taking a look at it when doing the adjustments :)
