How do you tether a rear-facing Britax Marathong in '06 Toyota Sienna 2nd row behind thedriver's seat.. I cannot seem to find an anchor??? Also is it safer to use a Latch Install or seat belt install? The child is 23 pounds and 6 months old!
Thanks!

I had mine tethered to the drivers side foot leg. YOu use the d ring and wrap it around the leg. YOU may have to take off the plastic cover. Here, this may help:

scroll down to installing rear facing tether connector strap.
I have a couple of pics of mine, but they are a bit big. IF you need them, let me know.
OH, and latch isn't any safer than seatbelt, or vice versa. Install the seat with the method that gives you the best install. For the record, the marathon is a breeze to install with latch. easy peasy even

You'll need to pry/pop off a plastic cover on your front seat's rear-most leg/rail in your Sienna. Then you can use the D-ring rear facing tether connector strap that was included with your Marathon to create a rear facing anchor point by looping it around the front seat leg/rail in your Sienna, and then hooking the rear facing Marathon's top tether clip to the metal D-ring. Here's are two helpful online installation videos showing how to do so, filmed in an '05 Sienna which is essentially identical to your '06 Sienna:

LATCH isn't technically safer than a seatbelt installation or vice versa. What counts is that you achieve a proper installation using either installation method with less than 1 inch of movement at the Marathon's belt path. Either installation method should be workable in your Sienna which is fairly installation friendly, as is your Marathon. :)

Jennifer, you said it so much more succinctly and quickly than I can type. :) OP, you just heard from two of the numerous Marathon and Sienna owners here on car-seat.org. :)

I was able to get the radian d-ring around the leg in my '09 without removing the plastic, just barely. But I have it tethered to the leg of the driver's seat as well.

I didn't have to remove the plastic either but i noticed I have some D rings that are longer than others. Oh and I have a 2004.
