At the last seat check, the tech told me that if I had wanted to have a more upright installation, I could insert a pool noodle by the base/rf foot of the Radian.
It really didn't register with me until today and now I'm sorry I did not ask more.
Can you please show/explain to me how a pool noodle would help make a more upright installation? Like where to put it, how, etc etc.
Is there a section here dedicated to use of pool noodles for installation?
Thank you.:)

The only thing a pool noodle would do for a child restraint is cause it to be MORE reclined, not less so, and you can't use a noodle with a Radian anyway

He must have been confused.

LOL.
Glad I didn't ask then.
First she was telling me to remove the boot but I told her that we can't do that per manufacturer's instructions then she mentioned the pool noodle.
It would've made me very confused too. :D
Thank you, as always. :)

She was probably suggesting putting a pool noodle behind the back part of the seat, which isn't ok. The Radian is a pretty rare seat to see at a seat check, and it's kind of a PITA to install, so it's probably the only time she's ever seen one.

Before you mentioned that she wanted to remove the foot, I was imagining that maybe she meant putting a noodle between the RF foot and the seatback which would sort of simulate pulling the base back a coule of inches as suggested here. Though I've never heard of doing that and frankly adding the pool noodle would make me question the install. But then you said that other thing, so her credibility really slipped at that point...
