I need to get K some good shoes for play this summer, either tennis shoe types, or sandals. Anyone know of where I could find Stride Rites or other higher quality shoes on sale right now (even just free shipping would help!)

My dd loves Stride Rite Mary Jane sneakers. Her favorite pairs have each cost $5.00 on clearance at Marshall's. Non-clearance Stride Rites there are $15-$20 a pair. Sandals are usually $15. :)

we buy 1 pair of sr's at the sr outlet each season for the kiddos, and i get each child 1 other pair at Kmart. I've actually had very good luck with the quality of the Kmart shoes (as opposed to the other big stores...) That way, they have 2 pairs, but 1 pair that is more for play, and the other (at least at the beginning of the season!) is for looking nicer. By the end of the season, they're both play shoes :)

of course, each child usually has 1 or 2 pairs of other hand-me-downs, clearance buys, etc. so, we have plenty of shoes to go around!

We don't... we have pretty limited shopping options which sucks:( I looked at the Stride Rite store when we went shopping an hour away the last time and the clearance shoes were $33.00 still so we passed!

I'll have to check out K-Mart and Amazon, and definitley shoebuy, thanks for the tips ladies!!:love:

They have some special deals right now if the shoes are from amazon.com, shoes.com, or shoemall. I ordered $80 in kid's sandals from amazon.com. It was supposed to be $20 off of $80 or $10 off of $60 but it gave me the $20 AND $10 off. Probably a glitch but I already paid so...:whistle:

I found a pair of sandals I liked for my son much cheaper at Babies r us. They were $57.00 at Stride Rite and they had them for $29.00 at BRU! Add a 15% off coupon on those and they're more than half off. Not too bad for the style and size I needed. That only works for the smaller sizes since it is BRU.

My local Stride Rite had some styles last weekend on sale and we bought two pairs of sneakers for 50% off plus I had a $5 off coupon I got on my last visit there. So, sometimes it is worth popping into the store. Also, in late Summer and again early Spring they do have a buy one get a second pair for 50% off which helps too.
