Quick question: I am doing respite for another foster family for the next few days and the 6 month old is in a KF. I need to put 4 in my Highlander so I was planning on using the KF without the base so I can still have access to the rear seat to buckle in my 2 yo. (the 5 y/o has a full arm cast so can't buckle himself or else he would be back there!)

When I install it, does the shoulder strap go behind the seat or stay with the lap portion of the seatbelt? I know some seats allow for the shoulder part to go behind, but wasn't sure about this one and I don't know if they will bring the instruction manual.

Thanks!

New Question: Okay, tried installing it today and it was loose, no matter how hard I leaned down/tightened the belt. Can I put a towel roll/pool noodle under the front to keep it reclined? Need answer ASAP since I have to leave in the morning with all 4 kids! (If worse comes to worse, I do have a MA that she can ride in...she is even with the bottom slots, possibly a "smidge" below (1/4" maybe...)

The shoulder portion of the seat belt should be left out of the belt guides - it should rest against the vehicle seat. (Not behind the car seat.)
