I finally got a chance to play with the Nautilus and I really liked it! The harness adjuster is soooo smooth. Is it like that installed too? Anyway, the family I nanny for is looking for some seats for their grandma's car for a 5 and 3 year old. When we went looking today the oldest is all about the Nautilus and he still has about an inch to go in the harness!

However, her car is a 1998 (i think) Dodge Intrepid. I'm not sure if it has tether anchors or not in it. If it doesn't, can we still use the Nautilus? When I skimmed through the manual it just said to store the tether correctly when not in use, does that mean it is optional? Also, if there are tether anchors, can they be used when the seat is in highback booster mode?

I can't believe it took me this long to jump on board with this seat, but with three across in my Subaru it just isn't an option for me. :(

WHile it's not required for use, it's always better to use the top tether.

THere are three TA points in the rear filler panel. Th epart number is 04519077AB.

Chrysler LLC dealers will install Tether anchors in certain older model year Chryselr vehicles free of charge. Please have the dealer refer to Technical Service Bulletine 23-029-08 for details on this policy. THe dealer can also find additional information in the Warranty Information Center in the article #1399

QUoted info from the 2009 LATCH manual....

Thanks for the info. Does that mean that the tether may be used when in booster mode as well?

That's the 64000 dollar question! Graco has gone back and forth. Consult your manual. Unless the manual allows it, the answer is no.
