I crocheted a beautiful dress for my baby to wear when she is blessed, but it has holes all over. I want to find a white, cotton slip to go under the dress. The dress is 17 inches from the shoulder to the bottom of the dress. I've been googling, but could use some help. Anyone have any ideas?

If none of these work out, try googling Christening gowns. A lot of places that sell the gowns also sell slips.

I'm having issues with length. The slips for Christening gowns run too long at 19+ inches. The regular dress slips run too short at 14 or so inches. 15.5-17 would work fine, though. I may have to make some calls to people I know who sew. (I wish I did!)

When I was looking for slips for my girls baptism, I couldn't find ANY little girls slips. NONE! I had to make them. Now, for my youngest dd with the dress I crocheted for her, I just used a plain white little T-shirt I found at old navy under it.

What about a nice white onsie, if you can find one?
Would it be possible to sew one?
My sis could not find one for her little lady either, but thankfully my mom was able to add some back material to the dress so it was not as thin. My neice's christening gown is from my sis's sleeves off her wedding dress-it is sooo pretty!

I have alot of those strips for "hemming" up Ikea curtains that did not required sewing. they are somewhere in my home as I never needed to use them. it came with the Ikea curtains.

My dd wore a white gauzy gown that was her great-grandfathers gown, we put her in white tights and a white onesie, and she looked great. :)
How about this? Would an inch below look ok? The bottom has a pretty trim, maybe it will accent what you made, which BTW I would to see a pic of it :)

I want to show off, but so far I haven't been able to take a decent picture of it. I was planning to be patient and take pics with my baby in it. I think I may have to hang the dress to get a decent pic and I haven't gotten around to that yet.
