Please note this list includes most recalls from CPSC, USDA, FDA, NHTSA (carseats and tires only) and boat recalls from the Coast Guard. Ambler Mountain Works Recalls Erwin Beanie and Poseidon Beanie Children’s Knitted Hats Due to Choking Hazard. Sold at: Specialty sports and ski shops nationwide from September 2008 through November 2008 for about $30.

Richard Abraham Herder KG Recalls Torque Wrenches Due to Risk of Injury. Sold by: Mountz Inc. through wholesale catalog sales and wholesale through industrial distributors, private label (Erico) and direct to OEM’s mostly in North America from July 2006 through April 2008 for between about $150 and $300.

Off-Road Motorcycles Recalled by KTM North America Due to Front Fork Failure. Sold by: KTM dealers nationwide from December 2008 through April 2009 for between $6,000 and $8,000.

Commercial Freezers Used in Grocery Stores Recalled By Unilever Due to Fire Hazard. Leased for: Unilever distributors nationwide from May 2007 through March 2009 for about $105/year per unit.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers to immediately stop using Hydroxycut products by Iovate Health Sciences Inc., of Oakville, Ontario and distributed by Iovate Health Sciences USA Inc. of Blasdell, N.Y. Some Hydroxycut products are associated with a number of serious liver injuries. Iovate has agreed to recall Hydroxycut products from the market.

Alex & George Wholesale, Inc., a Rochester, New York firm, is recalling approximately 4,663 pounds of A & G Brand ground beef products because they may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7. These ground beef products were produced on April 29 and distributed to restaurants in western New York.

AZ Hydroponic Farming Recalls 4oz Alfalfa Sprout Cup Because of Possible Health Risk. The product in question was distributed throughout Arizona and to one customer in California.

Biosite Incorporated has initiated a voluntary, nationwide recall of one lot of Triage® Cardiac Panel. The test is used by healthcare professionals as an aid in the diagnosis of myocardial infarction (heart attack). The product has been recalled due to reports of low recovery of quality control samples containing Creatine Kinase MB (CK-MB), troponin I and myoglobin on the affected lot.

Sheridan Fruit Company Recalls Bulk and Packaged Raw Pistachios Because of Possible Health Risk. The products were sold at the Sheridan Fruit Company retail store in Portland, Oregon.

King Henry’s Voluntarily Conducts Recall of Pistachios due to Possible Health Risks. The pistachios were sold from August 10, 2008 to December 1, 2008 to distributors and retail stores throughout the United States.
