Is it bad that I like the black/grey more than the pretty colors? Brian.... you won't be getting the black/grey that was "leaked" to the board? The colors are the only think stopping me from placing an order right this very second  lol

I didn't see the one that was leaked, but the Chandler looks a bit gray / black to me. I'm trying to get hi res images so I can see for sure. These are the only 2 that I've seen released so far.

You're not coming up in a Google Search of the My Ride 65. I believe you're the first to put it on sale. How do you get up higher in google searches?

I just put it online about 20-25 mins ago .. give it a couple days and it will percolate up in Google. Can't Guarantee where it will land, but google will pick the page up in the next couple of days.

Thanks for the pics!! I love the girly one. I wish it had been available 2.5 years ago when my dd1 outgrew her ma rfing. She still asks to sit backwards but is now 42#s:p If dd2 ever gains weight or baby5 is a big chunker, we'll need one of these:thumbsup:

Um, wow $159.99?? I have to say that I think that's really great! I know a lot of people were disappointed in this seat when the first pics were leaked, but I really think this fits a niche in the affordable convertible market. There are a LOT of really heavy babies that get turned around before a year and honestly, I think that is just as important to address as the issue of designing seats that will RF older children. I hope that people will see that sticker that says RF to 40lbs right on the strap cover and actually digest that info.

I thought the Chandler was just the same as the leaked one but with different lighting. But I put the pics side by side (I never closed a couple of the leaked pics on my desktop...I've been staring at it and trying to fall in love, lol. Hasn't happened yet:o) and there are differences. The shoulder strap covers are gray on the leaked, black on the chandler. Same with the flap that covers the harness adjuster. The leaked one also has a "Graco" patch-label on the front of the seat, and the airbag warning in the shoulder area. Not sure if they edit that out for stock photos though. Other than that they look the same, but the gray is a lot darker on the leaked which could or could not just be the lighting.
I'm so glad this seat is coming--if it's really here by June I should be safe, DS goes between 32 and 34 lbs but this week stayed around 32. Here's hoping!

Most people don't realize that kids are safer rear facing. What about the Swedish!? They have like a 1% death rate among children in accidents because they are all RF
I recently checked my cousins seat and she had already turned him around at 10 months! I told her NO WAY!

It's hard to tell from the picture, but how tall is the seat shell? It doesn't look that tall. How tall are the highest slots? (Not sure if anyone knows yet, just thinking outloud)
If it's as tall as the MA, or taller, and has a high enough shell and can fit 3 across, I might get one of these instead of a MA. I'm not getting a new seat until about September.

It was measured about an inch shorter than the MA. But the pics with a child in the seats made it look like the child had more room above his head in the My Ride than in the MA. I think the cup holders make it wider, so not sure how it would do in your 3 across. The top slots are just shy of 17 inches.

Yeah it was kinda weird that way....but it really did look like it gave more room than a MA so it should be adequate to get most kiddos to 3 or so height wise which is 100x better than their last convertible!

Yeah, it will probably be too wide for me. I cant have anything wider than the MA. Thats ok though, I will be able to get ds RF long enough in the MA.

The base looks pretty narrow and like it sits up high. I think it might puzzle well with the lower sitting seats (Radian anyone?)

Thanks for posting that info! I'm not too crazy about the girly cover, but would opt for it over the neutral one. Does anyone know what retailers we may see these seats in? BRU, walmart, etc? Would love to do a test install/fit with my 2.5 year old. (Yes, the cupholders are a selling point, but not sure if it's going to trump my marathon or not- do like RFing tether as well, and with the MR65 height it may/may not work anyway). Want to put my hands on it!

I have to agree, I am VERY VERY impressed with the price point. What good is an awesome seat if most average families can't afford them? This will be very popular among the masses just given the brand, cup holders, and price.
Kat_Momof3

I agree... think how many people buy the comfortsport just because they had a graco infant seat, loved it, and figure that they can just buy any graco seat and it will be great?
It's not a lot more than the comfortsport, so I could see a lot of people seeing why not go ahead and buy this one instead... even without the taller shell, better cupholders (though that will help pursuade the ones who think the comfortsport will last long enough), and higher weight limit.
And as long as that seating area is indeed comparable to the Marathon, we'll be able to recommend something besides the Evenflo Triumph, the Radian, and the Truefit, all that have quirks (knobs, sometimes hard to install, hard to access harness adjuster) that people can choose from.
Of course, then I just also keep thinking that the more submersed the market becomes in seats that hold kids in harnessed longer, the more people will stop and think before rushing to booster at 4 and 40 or (MUCH worse) 3 and 30lbs.

This may have been asked before...so Im sorry if I just missed it. How are we thinking this will fit a newborn? I know that some carseats SAY 5lbs as a minimum but we all know they wont fit. :) Im shopping for a carseat for the new baby due in August. I had pretty much decided on the TrueFit (and keeping my fingers crossed for the ARB to be out in time. grrr) but if this would fit...I really think I should consider it. Thanks so much!

I will get the seat if DS has grow room as far as height. Do we know how tall the seat back is? I'm so mad I missed the leaked pics, I was out of town!
I'm also slightly ticked at Graco. Their girl patterns are always AMAZING. Yet boys get shades of gray? Is it too much for them to put Lizards in line, Zurich, or ANYthing else that's not so BLAH on a seat other than the Turbo?
Also, anyone note that the Nautilus is pegged at 26lb, while the MyRide is about 16lb? WOOHOO for lightweight!
26 lbs for the Nauti? Dang! It feels lighter than the Radian to me!

I know we're all comparing the MR to the MA based on the pics that were here, but remember that in those shots the MA was very overreclined. This can really make a difference in fit! So my thought is that it may not actually offer much if any more height room than the MA, but it may have even MORE extra leg room than the pictures showed, because if the MA had been more upright, he'd have had less room in that pic. :twocents:
So Bryan, when you saw them in person, is the Chandler blue or gray? light or dark gray?

I know on the gracobaby.com site, it gave these dimensions:
Weight: 15.8lbs
Height: 26"
Width:20.8"
Depth: 27"
Is that width the base or the whole car seat at its widest part?

The base looks so much smaller, and has to be able to work with the 11" apart LATCH bars, that I'm sure it's quite a bit narrower than those wide cupholder-bearing 'arms' (though those wide arms are nice and tall, I hold out some hope that they will allow some decent puzzling with other seats...I hope I'm not wrong!)

It looks like it will puzzle well with lower seats (Radian anyone?)

Some people are concerned about the height of the base, but it occurred to me last night that in the pics next to the MA they sat just the same (uninstalled) so I'm thinking it's just the shape of it that makes it look so big.

I think I like all of the patterns but if I get one it will be the purple since I am obsessed with the color.

 Must get new daycare kid in summer that fits this, so I don't have to wait till Fall to get this seat. I guess I could just play with my friend's, but it won't be the same. :p

Do we know how wide that base is?
I know on the gracobaby.com site, it gave these dimensions:
Weight: 15.8lbs
Height: 26"
Width:20.8"
Depth: 27"
Is that width the base or the whole car seat at its widest part?
Bryan, Did the MR look wider than the TF? My TF measrures just under 19 inches at the widest on the sides. We can barely flip the vehicle seat next to it. Maybe the 20.8 is at the head and not at the cup holders. Otherwise, I may not be able to use mine :(

I wonder if this is a seat that must be put together like the GN. Walmart lists it as... 27.75H x 17.875W x 22.75L

no lockoffs.
Now that sucks . If I never have to use another locking clip I will be a happy happy woman.

I agree. That's why I love having so many LATCHs in my van :)
