A quick show of hands–who thinks it’s easier to buckle a kid into a booster than it is to buckle a kid into a harnessed car seat?  I think many parents think it’s easier to buckle a child into a booster and that’s why we see the early transition into boosters from harnessed seats.  There [...]http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/U40Td3XhywysbOBLsK36awWdIxA/i (http://feedads.googleadservices.com/~a/U40Td3XhywysbOBLsK36awWdIxA/a)

I have a question about the video in the blog. In the backless booster the boy is using, it appears that the shoulder belt on the buckle side is over the armrest instead of under it. Is this the way it is suppose to be on most booster seats? I always thought it needed to be under the armrest on the buckle side (except for a few seats which don't follow the norm).

:yeahthat:

The second child doesn't correctly route the shoulder belt. The lap belt is under the guide but the shoulder belt comes over and behind it. :o

you know, I think they are right... it starts out over and it's hard to tell if it was corrected and that part edited out or what.

No, I think it's correct. If you look closely as he's tightening the belt, you can see that the shoulder portion of the belt is pulling up against the booster arm. I think what others are seeing is a trick of the lighting/shadows.

It looks correct to me too, the webbing and the shell blend together somewhat and make it hard to see, but when you watch the large screen version you can see it.

I had thought that it might be wrong also, but bigscreen shows that it has to be right. And, isn't that Heather's voice?

After looking at it in full view, it does now look correct. The lighting on the armrest made it hard to tell if it was over or under, but when viewed large, I could see that the strap was under the armrest now.

I'll try watching it in full view... I bet it was the lighting now that people have said they think it is correct.

YAY!!

and I was right... when I watched it in fullscreen view, it was clear it was a lighting thing... the shoulderbelt was under the armrest from the start.
