Here is a list of new product recalls issued this week: 4/17/09-4/24/09.
Please note this list includes most recalls from CPSC, USDA, FDA, NHTSA (carseats and tires only) and boat recalls from the Coast Guard. TEAM-TEX AMERICA, INC. IS RECALLING CERTAIN BABYRIDE INFANT CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEMS, MODEL 374199, MANUFACTURED ON DECEMBER 18, 2008. THE BELT ROUTING LABEL WITH THE "HORIZONTAL REFERENCE LINE" IS INCORRECTLY PLACED ON THE CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM WHICH FAILS TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 213, "CHILD RESTRAINTS SYSTEMS."

Amalgamated Produce, Inc. Extends Recall to Specialty Farms Organic Crunchy Sprouts and Specialty Farms Organic Crunchy Pea Mix in the North Eastern United States Because of Possible Health Risk. Products have been distributed in the following states: NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME, MD, PA and Delaware

Los Angeles Calco of Arcadia, CA is recalling their Los Angeles Calco brand of Alfalfa sprouts because they may be contaminated withsalmonella. Product was distributed to three cash and carry wholesalers in California.

Torres Hillsdale Country Cheese LLC Announces the Recall of Oaxaca Cheese due to Possible Listeria Monocytogenes Contamination. Products were distributed to the following states: Illinois and Minnesota.

Neilgen Pharma Inc. and Advent Pharmaceutical Recall All Prescription Cough and Cold Drug Products Sold on or after March 5, 2008. All of the products under recall were distributed to wholesalers located in Alabama and North Carolina.

L&H Industries Recalls “World Famous Gourmet Nutty Nanners Frozen Bananas" Because Of Possible Health Risk. The affected products were primarily distributed through wholesalers in the greater southern California area.

Whole Foods Market South Region Announces a Nationwide Recall of Bulk Pistachio Products Because of Possible Health Risk. The recalled products were sold in Whole Foods Market stores located in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington D.C., Wisconsin and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Papa Joes Gourmet Market and Catering Stores Conducts Pistachio Recall in Michigan because of Possible Risk to Health. The pistachio products affected by this recall were sold in Papa Joes Market Michigan stores prior to April 7, 2009

Mave Enterprises, Inc., DBA It’s Delish Voluntarily Conducts Recall of Pistachios Because of Possible Health Risks. The Pistachios were sold from September 1, 2008 to April 13, 2009, in retail stores throughout Southern California as well as some retail stores in Nevada and one store in Mercer Island, Washington.

The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg Voluntary Recalls Pistachios Associated with Setton International Foods, Inc. Recall Because of Possible Health Risk. The products have been distributed to retail stores nationwide and direct home delivery through mail order.

Raja Foods Issues Nationwide Recall on Swad Brand Raw Pistachios and Roasted Salted Natural Pistachios. These recalled pistachios, supplied by Setton Pistachio, were distributed to various Indian stores throughout the country.

Ross Nut Co. Voluntarily Recalls Roasted Salted In-shell Pistachios Due To Expanded Recall By Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella CA. The products subject to the voluntary recall are in-shell pistachios shipped to customers from Ross Nut Co. between December 1, 2008 and April 3, 2009.

NOW Foods has issued a voluntary recall for NOW Foods Brand In-shell Pistachios, 12oz bags due to potential Salmonella contamination.

Janzen Farms RECALLS Roasted, Salted Pistachios in the Shell BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE HEALTH RISK. Ten (10) – 1 lb bags were distributed in Lynnwood, Washington and eight (8) – 1lb bags in Dayton, Oregon, through retail stores. Products were sold from February 1, 2009 through April 10, 2009.
