RF Radian in '99 Caravan

So I have my first opportunity to use my Radian RF! My neice (and her mom ;)) are coming to visit tomorrow. I VERY quickly installed it this afternoon, and fully intend to re-read the RF section of the manual this evening, but I wondered if you would mind quickly confirming a few things for me. :o

I've installed it on the 2nd row bench, driver's side. No tether for now. I used a locking clip because the locking latch plates don't hold well and flipping them doesn't seem to make any difference (I'd like to have a discussion about that, but maybe for another thread. ;)) It's tight. :thumbsup:

My questions are:

1. Bracing/touching driver's seat - allowed? (It's touching right now, but the driver's seat is pushed ALL the way back.)

2. Tether - where?

3. Infant inserts - DN is 8mo, I think less than 20lbs (a petite little thing :love:) I don't think she'll want or need them. I've got the body support still attached as a head pillow for DS - do I need to change anything?

2. Toward the front of the vehicle, on the floor, at a fixed, solid location, like where the driver's seat anchors to the floor.

Does anyone have any specific advice for the tether in this vehicle?
