Hi,
I am trying to move my 6 & 7 year-olds into booster seats. I drive a 2005 Honda CRV, and the narrowest booster seat I can find will not fit properly. It sits over the seat belt buckle. I did not have any trouble with the harnessed seats because they used LATCH, but my kids are outgrowing the harnessed seats, and are ready for boosters. Does anyone have any experience with this, or any suggestions on how I can solve this? The passenger-side rear-seat is not as bad as the driver's-side rear-seat, but I still have to turn the booster slightly sideways in order to buckle it, and I don't feel good about having my daughter sit even a little sideways. It will not work on the driver's side at all. Thank you for any suggestions!

What seats have you tried?

Hi Nik,
I first tried the Graco TurboBooster (Kelsey Fashion). When it didn't fit, I went to Target with my measuring tape and bought the narrowest one they had, the Cosco Highrise booster. It is a really cheap seat, and I wasn't thrilled with it, but it has indents in the side, and it almost fits on the passenger side. I don't know what else to try. Thanks!

I'm not sure about the boosters, but if you're still using the harnessed seats with LATCH, chances are you'll need to re-install them using the seat belts until you find the right boosters. Honda has a 40-pound limit for LATCH. For some reason, LATCH limits aren't advertised terribly well!
