I'm sure this is a no-no, but DH wants me to ask anyway. We just re-installed DD 2.5's BLVD into a more upright position after reading that it's a bit safer. Plus, she constantly holds her head up out of the wings to see better, so I thought that would make the better angle MUCH safer. Anyway, she's quite tall at 38 inches, and all legs. Is it acceptable to recline the vehicle seat just a bit to give her more leg room and better access to the harness adjuster? For reference, this is the center seat of a 2007 CRV with a 3 across bench seat. The edges of the BLVD are still up against the outboard seats and the install is still rock solid. TIA!

Check your car manual, most will not allow a child restraint to be installed on a reclined seat.

Check your car manual. If it doesn't say anything one way or the other, you can recline the seat some. Just don't go crazy and lay the seat flat. :)

I have heard you can recline it up to 2 clicks. I have my seats reclined 2 clicks, my vehicle manual doesn't say one way or another. And it does give kiddos alot more leg room! :)

Also, if it is allowed per your car manual, just remember that the farther away the seat back is from the car seat, the farther the car seat has to travel in a crash before it rebounds off the seat.

Not an issue at all if the seat is RFing tethered.
