So, I'm still fighting on the tether bolts installation. I am slowly getting somewhere. I have been told that in theory that I can have 3 bolts installed.

No more then that, even if I am paying for them, as the van has no other positions for them.

What do I do about the other carseats then? I don't think its legal to connect 2 tether straps to one bolt...

Can I install the bolts anywhere else? I mean like when you RF a britax and tether it to the seat, can I tether the seats to the back of the van seats? Can I get a bolt put in the roof? LOL

So you can see my thoughts are not the best, but I just want to know if there are any other options avaliable to me at this point. It kinda negates the point the carseat if I can't tether it.

You really don't have any options - only the vehicle manufacturer can tell you where to put the tether bolts and where they will hold in the event of a collision. If you put them anywhere else, you will be liable in the event of a collision. It could void your insurance and you could be charged. Sorry to sound so heavy, but it's an unfortunate fact:o

Completely understandable. Just a hope I guess. Thanks for the info.

What kind of car do you have. I'm sure someone has the tether manual to check where they need to be located.

88 Caravan, and she's in Canada so by law all FF seats need to be tethered.
