Can a scenera touch the seat in front of it

Title says it all. Seat will be installed RF in a 2001 Saturn.

I did not see this addressed in the manual.

I believe it can as long as the vehicle manual doesn't prohibit touching the front seatbacks due to sensors for advanced frontal airbags. A 2001 Saturn isn't likely to have advanced frontal airbags because those tended to be introduced in some cars during the 2004/2005 time frame. Our '02 Saturn L100 and '03 Saturn Vue didn't have warnings against allowing RF carseats touching the front seatbacks, for example, so there's probably no restriction against touching in your 2001's owner's manual, although double checking your owner's manual to be sure is always advisable. :)
