Hello! I am new here but I have lurked often! I want to first thank you for all the information you all have shared here! It is very helpful and wonderful!!

On to my question. I have an 05 grand am, my 14 month old is RF in a britax marathon. I do not have an owners manual for my car, I bought it used and it didnt come with it. My friend who had the same car as me, stated that by the passenger seat belt that is where the teether should could. However, I can't find it! I have searched and searched. She had her daughter RF in a marathon in the middle just as I do and had the teether strapped. However, she lives in CT, I live in OH...her father who is a carseat tech in IL did it for her. I have googled trying to find some info but cant seem to find it. Thanks in advance!!

Hi and welcome. :) I'm not super familiar with newer Grand Ams (I used to own an '88 Grand Am but that was way before I had kids and carseats of my own :)). It sounds like your friend may have used the front passenger seatbelt stalk to create a RF tether anchor point in the Grand Am? To do this in your car, you need to use the D-ring RF tether connector strap that came with your Marathon - it's a short strap with a metal D-ring attached to it. You need to loop the D-ring strap around a fixed point toward the front of your car, like a front seat leg/rail, or a front seatbelt buckle stalk. Then you would connect the RF Marathon's top tether hook to the metal D-ring and shorten up the tether strap until it's taut. There are some helpful installation videos showing how to install and top tether a RF Britax convertible at the Carseat Site's Youtube channel that could also be helpful for you: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=CarSeatSite&view=videos

DH has a 99 Grand Am. I don't know how similar it is to your car, but I can take pics after he gets home, if it would help. ETA: the 99 and 2005 are the same "generation," so I'm guessing that although they are 6 years different, they are basically the same car.
