I am in the US, but a Canadian friend is asking if she has to tether her convertible seat RF? I don't know what seat her convertible is.

Rearfacing tethering is not required in Canada. You will need to know the specifics on her seat (model and manufacturer) to determine if it is permissible. I believe only Britax and Sunshine Kids convertibles allow for RF tethering in Canada, and only as an added safety feature, not a requirement.

Yea in the US its only those two seats that can be, but are not required to. I am waiting for a response back from her about what convertible she has.
She also implied that her infant seat was tethered. Are there any Canadian infant seat seats that tether?

No infant seats tether here.
Only Britax and Sunshine Kids have the RF tether here.

Sometimes when people say tether, they mean LATCH/UAS (the lower connectors) Her infant seat likely would have had that, and it may be what she means.
