Radians not installing properly with seat belt in minivan

I had my apex 65s installed for a while in the minivan and they were finish.. I had to take them to a tech to get them tight but after that it worked fine.

Welllllll Julianna outgrew the height of the apex 65 so she is back in the radian full time.. I tried to install it in the third row, and no matter how I pull on those seat belts, sit in the seat while DH pulls visa versa, I lock the belt, stand up and I can pull the seat towards me like 4 inches.. nothing works..I can not move it side to side much, but the fact that it moves away from the seat that much is so weird.

So at the moment I have her in the second row, and my Fiona in the third row, installed with latch in the center (my third row only has latch in the center oddly enough) But I am stuck when she outgrows the latch system.. though by the time she is 48 lbs (being 32 now) Julianna will probably be in a booster anyways.

So now what is going on? I really like having them in the third row as I used that extra second row seat to nurse Nolan in when in the car pool line and stuff.

anyone know if there is some way to fix this?

What make/model/year is your minivan? What kind of buckle stalks do you have in the 3rd row? I've had problems installing the Radian with stiff buckle stalks--the kind where the buckle can't be twisted and is attached to a metal bar that only moves up and down.

One trick you can try is to recline the van's seat and install the Radian as tightly as you can, then put the van's seat back upright.

Yup. There is an article in the Articles section of the forum that will tell you exactly how to take care of it. It's called something like Install Tips for Radian with Forward of the Bight Seatbelts.
