DS is RF in his MA with his shoulders EVEN with the third set of slots. He's still got about one inch, MAYBE 1.25", of torso growth room before his head is within the 1" from top of shell criteria.
When you install seats FF, don't they LOSE room? I can never keep the lose/gain thing straight. Anyway, if he were FF(which he will not be for awhile yet), he'd need the topmost harness slots on the MA.
What do you think are the chances that he will outgrow the MA RF and FF at the same time. Or FF very shortly after? I'm just curious. At least I have the Radian for more options.

It might be close, but you'll probably gain a little space ff- depending on how upright your vehicle seats are. Generally, the more upright the installation, the more growing room. Ds had an inch or two left to grow rf in the MA when we turned him and we dead even with the third slots ff. :)

It could happen, I suppose... Depends on how it installs in your vehicle, I guess.
My third outgrew the Scenera RF and FF around the same time (at about 8 1/2 months old.)

someday you need to post pictures of this baby and her mythical torso.

In general, you usually GAIN some room FFing because it's more upright, but if you have a fairly upright RF install and reclined seat backs FFing, it could wind up pretty similar.
My DS was about equal RF and FF in the BLVD because of my seats (and the fact that I had him pretty upright RF to squeeze some time out of him!) But I just tried him FF in the RN and he gains about a half inch from RF to FF in that.

You know what's funny? I had to move her back down when I re-installed the Radian! She had been about 1/4 inch above the 4th slots for MONTHS and then when I took it out and it got stolen, I put the spare in and I guess I got it more upright than it had been, because now she is about 1/4 inch below. She must be more upright to lose 1/2 an inch in the torso, right? (Luckily the last few months she's been growing some in the legs and arms instead of just in the torso! In fact no real torso growth the last month or two, just leg.)
I keep meaning to take pics of her when she's all sprawled out on the bed to show how she is still waaaay more torso than most babies, but my camera has been MIA.

Well that's good to know. Just don't tell DH I'm looking for a reason to buy ANOTHER seat when it's time for FF. I do a pretty upright install RF(about 37 degrees), so hopefully it won't be too different.
Ketchup, my DS also outgrew the Scenera RF and FF at the same time.
