So, I haven't been "into" car seats long enough to have a sense of this, other than the projected release dates for the TF ARB being several months later in Canada than the US. Is there usually a big gap like that?

What I'm really curious about is the speculation about this new Graco 40lb RFing seat, and whether I might want to consider it for DS. To be honest, I suspect it'll be a no-go for us, since his TF will get him to 2 RFing and I have my doubts whether this new Graco seat would be tall enough to get my >97%-height kid to 40lbs anyhow. But still, I'm curious. When was the Nautilus released in Canada, compared to its US release?

The Nautilus finally made it to Canada this December. It took FOREVER! For a long time Graco told Canadian customers wanting to buy it that they weren't going to release it here (I called them...) So my eldest rides in a Frontier because I wanted to use her seat for the baby RF and move her to a FF harness/ booster seat in June last year.

Britax has committed to releasing seats to us within 60 days of the US release date. That said, I still wouldn't wait for a new Britax seat if I needed something right away.

As for Graco, the Nautilus took about a year to finally get here. No one is really sure why... lots of various speculation, but none of that matters now.

The new Graco MyRide65 is due out summer of '09 in the US. I'd say we'll be lucky to see it by summer of '10 (assuming it meets CMVSS criteria).

Thanks... that's about what I was figuring.
