I'm esp. interested in knowing if anyone has it installed FF, and if so, would you mind sharing pics and the make/model of your vehicle? ;)

ok i cant find my camera and for some reason it wont upload from my cell phone:confused: but it is rock solid in my Nissan Quest 04, It is put in like with the regent and frontier with the LBP. There is no top tether though, unless im missing something lol but it doesnt even show it in the manual either.

I donīt think it is going to be easy to find someone, who have installed it FF.
You can use it FF from 20-40 lbs with the 5 point harness (no top tether) and as a belt positioning HBB from 35/40-55 lbs. The seat grows to 21/22" as a HBB.

The big plus with this seat is the high RF limits. This is why people buy it. I can flip mine FF sometime over the weekend. It is in a European car (Peugeot 307SW)

I have used mine forward facing (mainly at the end of an 8 hour drive, to change the scenery :)) It installs super fast, super easy and rock solid. It is the only seat that installs well in my car forward facing. I have a 98 bmw 3 series, with bucket seats and forward of the bight buckles.

I'm so bummed that it only harnesses to 40lbs! I was going to get one now, put DS (33lbs, will be 4 in a couple of weeks- but he'd stay FF) in it and then use it later for the baby RF. Well, considering how slow my kids gain weight, I could try and convince DS to go back RF. Hmmmm.

Anyone have one and regret the purchase? And if you don't mind answering, would you lmk what you paid w/shipping?

I love everything about my Multi-Tech i wouldnt change it for anything. Everything about it is easy and to tighten the harness it is smooth not tug tug tug.

Flipped mine for you to see. I got it as solid as a rock in my car FF. It moved ―-1" when I tugged it front to back.

It tethers RF only. It does not move at all in RF position.

By the way. the RF limit is 55 lbs. My daughter has an 18" torso and she can still fit in it RF.

I paid $1050 NZD for mine, and I dont regret it one bit. I love that at age 2 ds still easily has 2 more years rf & he is a light weight so if we turn him after that he could probably still be harnessed. It is super easy to install and it gets easier every time you do it, I have turned mine forward facing on the roadside (in an attempt to stop ds crying, didn't work :( he started crying "turn around mummy" lol) it took less than 5 mins to get it rock solid :)

It is only one install RF and one FF. The FF install is the same as the Regent, only that it weighs less and is a lot less bulky. The seatbelt is routed around the back and over the footprop.

To be honest, if you want to use it FF, then you might just as well buy a Frontier or something else, that is legal in the USA and less exspensive.

My daughter has an 18" torso, weighs app 40-42 lbs and is 45―" tall. She can still fit in it RF.

Contact Adventuredad. heīll happily send you one. The cost will be somewhere between 530 and 550 USD I think. everything included.

Lena, thanks so so much for the pictures! That helps a lot. Still not sure what we're going to order- I really hate DD's Frontier, so I'm not in a hurry to order another. We're returning our Nautilus (Sitting on the crotch strap is bugging DS) and I'm on the fence about buying another Regent. The Multi Tech might be a good solution for us, esp. since we can ERF the baby in it later on.

Lena, on the swedish britax website it says it can be used as a booster till age 9, is that as long as the nine year old is only 55 lbs? i thought it was pretty much the same as teh EVOLVA 123 only that it faces rearward too, but can be used as a booster like the evolva afterwards?
dont see why it only works as a booster till 55 lbs? any idea?
btw... dont know if you saw my post on askamum (its ARwen 1984) about dp having a crash. carseats are (once again) getting replaced. hopefully my new multitech will arrive tomorrow :D
these are car seats number 7 and 8... in 2 years lol. (we've only got 2 kids...)

It is booster mode to 55 lbs too.

The MT and the Evolva 123 has many similarities when you look at them from the front. The Evolva has a cup holder where the MT has seatbelt guides and locking clips. There are several differences when you flip them. The Evolva has the internal harness and headrest adjuster and then just the back of the restraint. The MT has the same harness and headsupport adjuster and a large T-shaped steel leg as well as the housings for it that makes this seat weigh more than the Evolva. Isofix booster seats weigh more than just belt-installed boosters. The Isofix system adds to the weight of the seat. However, the ISOFIX system is on the back of the seat cushion and not on the back of the booster seat back.

I donīt know if thatīs what makes the difference. The MT is heavier and cannot be installed using Isofix for booster mode, which might have made a difference. My other guess is: for simplicity sake. But these are guessworks. You will have to ask Britax Sweden about this.
