Specifically the bike shorts?

I'm looking to get some for DD to go under dresses, but not sure if I should get a 6 or 7...she's kinda in between sizes right now, and it really depends on the brand.

Thanks!

Anyone?

Come on, I know we have some gymbo junkies on this board!

Gymbo seems to run pretty true to size for all 3 of my kids; we buy the "correct" size of bike shorts and roll the waist band one time if necessary. HTH!

It seems to run biger on my dd.

I say leggings & bike shorts run true to size in the waist, but short in the legs (at least on leggings). For shorts, I'd buy the size she's in....not up one; otherwise they would be too big, IMO.

Typically, it runs very true to size. It does NOT run true to their size charts though. It is kind of an ongoing joke that kids who wear a 7-8 should wear a 5T according to the Gymboree size charts. So, go with the size she wears and ignore the charts.

My DD1 needs a 8 now in Gymbo leggings for length but would probably be fine in a 7 in the bike shorts. In everything else, with the exception of Kohl's Sonoma line, she wears a 6x/7. So I would say they run about the same everything else once you get out of the toddler sizes.

Interesting that some folks find you need to order a size DOWN for Gymbo, and not to put much stock in the size charts. I noticed a couple months ago that the pants inseam for Gymbo clothing is much shorter than the inseam for TCP and Old Navy pants of the exact same size. Since my dd has pretty long legs, I decided to skip Gymbo, although they have some cute stuff, because I was afraid they'd be too short in the leg if I got the correct waist size.

Thank you ladies! I was really on the fence with whether to get a 6 or 7. I think I'm going to get the 7 since she is pretty much only able to wear 6x and 7 in most brands now. Like ZephyrBlue said, I can always roll the waistband if they're a bit big.
