View Full Version : Question Best Combination Car Seat in the UK

DD (age 4) has a Britax First Class Si seat. She rear faced in it until she was 2 (amazing by UK standards)! Anyway, her seat is now getting old and looks very beaten up, the polystyrene is breaking up, it is dented (it has been in aircraft holds far too many times and been mistreated by airport staff), and is now just passed it.

We cannot pass the seat onto baby #2 so we are looking to get another combi seat. When we got DD's seat, it was one of only about 2 on the market in the UK, now there seems to be far more choice. Are there any recommendations on the better combination seats?

The other problem is I drive a very small car (Ford Ka), the seat belt lengths are not overly long and the space is very limited. There isn't an airbag in the front passenger seat so going in the front where the seat belt is longer could be an option. I also do not have Isofix in my car so the seat needs to be installed with the belt only.

Many thanks.

Thanks for those links.
I'm guessing that we'll just get another Britax, but I'm still wondering which would be the best seat to get.

Hi,

I'm located in Sweden and we have the excellent rear facing combination seats which allow rear facing to 25 kg (55 lbs) and also have forward facing options. Drop me an email at info@carseat.se or ad@adventuredad.com and I will do my best to help you out.
