Ok, I have finally been able to access a CD of photos I have. A group shot was requested by some and here they are, as many as I could fit. This isn't all of them! I need help!

Wow - I think that's the most brown vinyl I've ever seen in one place at at time!:p

Thanks for sharing - that's an awesome collection! :)

WOW! I think (pretty sure) the black vinyl with the metal clip on the shield is just like the one my Mom had when I was born (30+ years ago). That's amazing! And, it's amazing we all survived after riding in those things! Sometimes I wonder why we didn't get hurt but now we have to be so careful in the car to protect our little ones. What's changed???

Oh, is that a circa 1990 evenflo joyride? I had one of them! And I would know that ultara pattern anywhere! I bet others used it though...circa 1996 or so?

I have a question about the brown vinyl seat....... :p Let me be more specific, LOL.
Third picture, bottom left hand corner. It looks like it doesn't have a harness. Where would the seatbelt be routed in that one?

Do you mean the really old basic seat with the tubular arm rest? If so, it had a basic shuolder strap that raps around the child?

You should let us know what you're looking for. You might be (sadly) surprised what turns up at seat checks sometimes.

Wow, look how shallow that GM seat is! (The white plastic shell seat.) Hard to imagine that being comfortable for anyone.

LOL, I'm pretty sure that's the seat my twin sisters had. They were born in 1971.

Attached is a pic of me in that seat (or one very similar) 35-ish years ago. It seems that there was a set of shoulder straps that came up over the back of the seat (probably anchored to the tubular metal frame behind the seat pad and maybe removable or were taken off the OP's seat at some point?) and then the lap belt of the vehicle was routed through loops on the end of the shoulder straps.

So neat, thanks for sharing!

I second opening a museum! You would of course have to have a pictoral of modern safety features too and show how much they've improved. ;) But imagine getting to meet all of us when we come to see it on vacation! ;) :D

I think the shots are very artistic, btw, very well laid out and lit.

LOL, one of those looks like the car seat I had when I was little! My mom was telling me about a seat she had for my oldest sister, it was considered the most advanced seat available. She said it just hooked onto the car's seat back, and had a lap belt, and it was designed to slide down and forward in a crash to protect the baby. Most people didn't even use car seats then. Car seats sure have changed.

I don't think ClassicSeats would accept anything made this decade in HIS collection. Too new. Although, if you grabbed one of everything off CL, in 10 years when they were classics, you wouldn't have a hard time finding them.

That's the seat we rode in! But the vinyl was brown to match the station wagon...and the seat only left just last year when they finally decided to scrap the car.
