I can not take the three across in the corolla anymore. Buckling the boosters is killing my hand. I really want to put one of the older kids in the middle with a rstv.

I don't have one for sale, but I wanted to give some advise. Do you have only lap belt in the middle? If so, when your older ones get to be over 60lbs you will need to purchase a dual tether from the manufacture in order to use the lap only belt. If you have a lap/shoulder belt in the middle there is no need for a tether.

I ran into that problem with our Large vest. Waiting on the tether now. Cost $25 from the company.

Just an FYI.

What is a dual tether and how is it used?

From what the company says...

Regarding the large vests: For children over 60 pounds, you must use the dual tether regardless of the weight rating on the vehicle tether anchor. The dual tether attaches to 2 separate tether anchor assemblies in the vehicle. The reason for the dual tether is energy distribution not anchor strength. The cost of the dual tether is $25.00 each plus shipping.

Hope that helps!

Thanks. I had contacted the company about that too. I weighed my 7 and 8 year old last night and they are both 54lbs now, so I have a little bit of time before having to worry about that. I do have only a lapbelt in the center.

When you get your dual tether, will you post pictures? I really want to see what it looks like.

Thanks!

Yep... I'll be sure to post a picture. It'll be used in a truck so there will be loop tethers. I've had many many conversations about this with the company and it's supposed to work! Here's hoping!

Just out of curiosity, do you have any experience with the RSTV? I have one and I think it is a terrible pitb to use. Plus, my son hates it. Maybe if I used it more often I would like it better, but I urge you to try to find one to try out before you buy it.
