Alright, so I moved my rfing radian over to the driver's side in the third row so that I could rf tether it to the middle seat's top tether anchor. (A rfing seat is installed on that seat.) I gather that is okay.
I went out today to see if I could get the tribute in the middle position, but it won't fit. It fits on the driver's side with the radian in the middle. The top tether for the middlemost seat is being used, so I can't add a rfing tether to it as well, right?
The only place I could find to put the d ring was on the bars on the floor of the van that the car's seats attach to. I have not figured out how to remove the middle seat yet. I could not get the d ring around the farthest back bar, so I put it on the front one. It is the one on the right, if facing the front of the van. The d ring extends back to where the actual ring is sticking out from behind the middle row. It is inbetween the passenger side and center middle row seats. Is this an acceptable rfing tether?
Sorry no pics, so I thought if you had a sienna or were familiar with them you might know what I was talking about.

I would suggest moving the 2nd row center seat forward (It's easy, and the directions in the manual (maybe on the back of the seat itself too?) are simple). Then tether to the back bars, that are not holding a seat anymore.
I can't picture the bars in my head, but tethering to the 2nd one (under the 2nd row seat, right?) should be ok. It'd be like tethering under a front seat.

The seat is slid forward. It slides on a track. From what I can tell, there is no space under the track to wrap anything. The track is set on the bars that are in the floor.

I must have misunderstood what you have it tethered to than.
We're talking about the center seat, 2nd row of an 8 passenger Sienna, right? That seat can actually be moved forward to another seat of bars. It's a "front and center" seat. I'd slide it back, and move it forward (you remove the seat, and realign it with the other set of bars). THen you'll have a bar on the floor that's not holding a seat.
I can take pics tomorrow (of the van, and bars) if you want. I did that to Sofi's MA last week until she decided she didn't really want to be in the 3rd row, lol.
I'd think that tethering the 3rd row seat to the front of the 2nd row seat would be too far.

Oh, I didn't know the seat could move farther up! It is just slid up with the squeeze bar adjuster that is under the seat. Now I'm going to have to go get my manual and read about that seat. (Dh just put the plates on the van tonight.)

If you slide the seat back on the track, and remove it to move forward, it will look to be in the same place as it is now. But, you'll have those bars on the floor exposed :)
I know 1 parent wouldn't move the seat forward because the manual said to put the center tray (in the front seat) down. But I think that was just while moving the center seat (you have to fold and flip it to remove). I have my seat forward, and use the center tray all the time :)
I *think* all you have to do is fold and flip the seat, then pull the extra strap on the back. Then replace on new bars. But, it's been over a year since I did mine. I just remember it being easier than I'd expected :D

I went out and moved the seat. It was harder than I expected, but it is done and hopefully I won't be needing that seat back for a long time. I read and reread the section in the manual at least 10 times! It was getting the seat locked on the back, front bars that really had me befuddled, but it is done. In the furthest back position I'm sure the tray can be put back up. I just haven't done that yet. I put all the car seats back and said I was finished with altering the van for the day.
I tethered the radian to the back, left bar because it looked like it was closer than the right one. I have no idea, though. I hope it is alright.

You can definitely put the tray back up. You only need to put it down to remove and put back the seat. Otherwise the seat would hit the tray (trust me, I tried to take it out and back in without putting the tray down:o). And the furthest back, front and center spot, seems to be the same as the furthest up rear spot, if that makes sense.

That tethering location is fine.
