what infant seat for mazda 6?

I have a mom with a 2008 Mazda 6 who is expecting in a couple of months. She would like to know which infant seats fit best in this car. Also, she will not buy anything made in China (not that many seats are made in china). Anybody have suggestions/experience with this car and a successful install?
Any seats you wouldn't recommend?

Most seats are made in China, so she's gonna have a hard time pulling that off. Britax is US, some Evenflos, Graco might make their infant seats in teh US, I don't know.

Britax is the only guarantee for made in USA- so that's either the discontinued Companion or hope the Chaperone is out in time. Dorel and Graco both have some US manufacturing facilities, but also manufacture in China. My 04 SR was made in USA (with some international components), but I can't speak for current models.

Evenflo may have some US facilities, but I wouldn't recommend their infant seats.

Anyone know about Combi or Chicco?
