View Full Version : Will Regent install in '97 Chrysler T&C?

As in title, plus, will the Frontier install in the T&C?

I most likely would always be using this seat in the captain's chairs in the second row, and the dealership will be installing ALL the top ta's for me as soon as they come in.

I'm thinking about getting ds1 a new seat, and passing down his Decathlon. Really the main reason for me to do this is comfort--for me! (Him sitting lower means less kicking my seat back, which makes me a crazy person!)

I'd prefer one of these two seats, but the install issues freak me out. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can convince him to ride long trips (or any trip) in the GN. He has complained about it each time I tried him in it (except when my friend's little girl said she loved it and didn't like the Frontier's fabric). He snuggled right into the Frontier and the fabric didn't bother him a bit.

Cross posting to get an answer or two...

Anyone have a Regent installed in their Town and Country? Does it go in easily?

I had an '06 T&C and had no problem installing with Latch, or with the seatbelt in the SBP, but the LBP was too long for the seatbelt in that vehicle though b/c our Regent was post advisory and we had to use the recline bar. Do you already have the Regent? If so, is it pre or post advisory? And what is the weight of the child riding in it? If less than 40 with a post advisory regent, you will need to use the LBP, which might present issues. It's hard to say though b/c your vehicle is about 10 years older than the one I was used to working with.

It will probably be an '07 model Regent, and no, I don't have it yet.

DS2 is 32 lbs, so not yet over 40 lbs. I think he'll be at least 5 before he weighs 40 lbs (he's 3.5 yrs old).

Yes, I had one in the captains chair and it went in perfectly! I had a top tether added for free, and it was on the floor almost under the rear bench seat.
It was a super fit!
