View Full Version : Question Slight lean with my MA

I installed our Britax Marathon in our Honda Fit and it feels pretty rock solid (can barely move it at all side to side or up/down). It's installed in the side behind the passenger seat, with LATCH, RF, and with the tether attached.

My question is, the seat is angled ever so slightly towards the car door. I'm guessing it's from the angle of the seat cushion underneath it. Again, the car seat itself is pretty close to rock solid in there, but is it ok for it to lean a bit like that? Or do I need to rig up something underneath one side of the car seat to straighten it out?

Thanks!

It is fine for it to lean slightly. It's fairly common with seatbelt installs. You can try tightening the LATCH strap next to the center seat to get it evened out.

You can NOT put anything under the side of the seat. The only thing that would be ok is if you needed a pool noodle or rolled towel near the seat bight to get a proper recline angle.

That's what I figured, but wanted to make sure. Thanks.
