Okay, I have a POST advisory Regent that is/was installed in the back row (3rd row 2007 Freestar). I noticed recently that the recline bar was sticking though the seat cushions (sight bight) and I could clearly read the label on the bar from the back of the seat. So I just tried to install the seat with the recline bar on the seat (not through it) and I am having no luck. I can't get it tight enough and when I do the recline bar has wedged it self back in there making me think that it is tight install when it may be the bar keeping it from moving.
Thoughts?

TIA

I was concerned about the same thing. The response was that it had to have the recline bar attached, not that is couldn't go in to the bite of the seat.
Mine goes in the space between the seat top and bottom of my Sienna captains chair. Can you post pictures?

The same thing happened with my Regent in the 3rd row of my 02 Kia Sedona. I finally sold it because I just couldn't for the life of me, get it to install without the recline bar falling into the seat bight.

I had the same problem and was told by Britax that it was OK.

I don't have pictures. I managed to get it in there after 40 minutes of pushing, prodding and adjusting, it is jammed into the to seat cushion some how so it won't go into the bight without serious effort. I hope it stays there.

My biggest concern with it being in the seat bight is it just fits between two hinges that fold the seat so I can't be sure if it is in there tight or just not moving side to beause the bar is in the bight and can't move.

Maybe this thread could help, at least a few posts can, after #15. The links in the first thread don't work. Hope it helps.

Installing the Regent and keeping the recline bar out of the seatbight is a total pita. It means basically sitting the regent forward with its head on the driver seat/passenger seat, getting the recline bar up on the seatback, and getting your belts routed properly and then pushing the Regent BACK instead of down, all the while trying to keep the recline bar from thumping straight down into the seatbight like it wants to.

Total pita. Great seat, totally secure installs, but man. A total pain.
