Hi,
We're car shopping right now. We are trying to find something that will fit in our budget and a vibe/ matrix fits. Ultimately we're trying to put 2 seats in the back and have room for a passenger as well. Our eldest is just shy of 4 and 38 lbs. She's not big enough for a booster and not ready for one either. She's in a frontier currently. Our youngest is 21 lbs and just shy of a year. She's rear facing still and is currently in a Marathon. We're keeping our old car and likely leaving the seats in there and picking up seats for the new car.

If we did 2 radians
1- will we be able to install one RF and one FF without pulling our hair out?
2- will we have room for a 3rd passenger occasionally?
3- would it ultimately be cheaper to go with a nautilus for our 4 yr old and would this allow us the 3rd passeger?
4- when our eldest moves to a booster will a dedicated booster be a reasonable size and allow us to get that 3rd passenger in still?

Thanks in advance!

(Oh and I'm in Canada)

Hoping someone posts who has tried the new Radian base! I have only tried the old style in my 03 Vibe, and could not get an acceptable install. I did only try it FF though.

I think, though, that with a new Radian and keeping the Frontier, you could squeeze in a 3rd person in back. Nautilus is really about the same width as the Frontier, so is not going to help you.

If you do get a chance to try the RF Radian/FF Frontier combo, would you post here? I am going to need a new RF seat soon, and would like to have a 3rd passenger in the back of my Vibe too.

The Vibe has been one of the easiest vehicles I've installed any seats in.

The backseats are so flat and solid - it is a DREAM.

I have put our Radian in, FF, in the center - with belt. It left plenty of room on either side.

I've put 2 FF Radians and a RF Regal Ride in it.

Easy.

Kashi... how much more room does the Radian take up RFing than the SS1? Can you get a more upright RFing install with the Radian?

and... Congratulations!

I haven't used our Radians RF, so I can't answer that.
