Ok, so we drive a 2006 Chrystler Town and Country. In August, we will have a new baby. So, we will have 3 in carseats. We have a 5 year old. She weighs 48lbs and is 45.5" tall. She rides in a Regent. My 2 year old is 29lbs and 36" tall. She is RF in a Marathon. We havent decided which seat we are getting but regardless, new baby will be sitting in one of the 2 middle seats. My 2 year old will also remain in one of the middle seats. So, that means my 5 year old and her Regent will be moving to the 3rd row. Whew! Ok so the issue is the 3rd row is a split 60/40 seat. We cant use latch because of her weight. But we have to use the tether, its located in the middle of the 60 part of the 60/40 bench. Perfectly aligned with the latch...that we cant use. So, where would you install the seat? In the middle? or the side? Neither one will line up with the tether latch. Any ideas? Thank you so much!:D

as long as there is a top tether anchor there, i'd put her in the center of the third row. if there isn't a top tether anchor there, i'd put her on whichever side works for you, w/a tether anchor. if there isn't enough room for her to be comfortable in an outboard third row spot, i'd consider removing a second row captains chair and putting both her and your rf'ing 2 yr old in the third row.

I have an '07 and my backseat is exactly the same. If I'm reading and understanding the car's manual correctly, the top tether can only be used when using the LATCH anchors or if the car seat is installed in the middle with the lap belt. Hopefully you can get the regent to fit in the middle, but I doubt it will leave much (if any) room on either side for passengers.
