OK, so here I am again posting to get my angles checked on 2 more seats. I will be working on my MA and post another picture in my last thread with a better RF upright install.

New AO in Kia sportage. This was used for the first time today, My parents said he was really upright. Does it look too upright? They were familiar with the SS1 recline. I plan on reinstalling again without the base.

I think the True Fit looks fine, but the AO is pretty upright. I'd take the base off and see if you can get it a bit more reclined (might need pool noodles).

That AO is extremely upright. The Kia seats are really dished. You may need a tightly rolled towel or noodles with that beast! The TF looks pretty good though.

Yep, in agreement that the TF looks fine but the AO could use some more recline. It almost always is easier to install without the base, so I'd take the base off before reinstalling it.

The kickstand that is stood up for ff'ing installs (w/o the base,) has a hook in it for you to attach the top tether to, so make sure that you attach the top tether as well so that it doesn't swing freely.

My parents are not going anywhere today so I'll fix after work, I'll have to get pictures of my install after the base is removed and the tether is safely stored:thumbsup:
Thanks again

Is this any better? I'm not really sure  I does move about 1/2" but all my other seats don't budge;)

It does look better. It is still less than 45 deg, but it's for an older kiddo so it doesn't look too bad. The real test will be when kiddo falls asleep. It does look better to me though.:twocents:

I'm glad is is better  He won't likely fall asleep, my parents only take him to the grocery store or to Walmart etc to get out of the house on these cold winter days!!! He only falls asleep on longer drives now. I'm not sure when he will be out next...

I think the new angle is fine for a 1 yr old, it's not as straight upright as the "before" pictures. Any chance of a picture with a kid in it (feel free to blur the face), I find it easier to tell if it's appropriate with a child in the seat.

I think it might be ok. I'd be inclined to use a tightly rolled towel about 5" in diameter to get it just slightly reclined more. I say about 5" because it's going to compress when the carseat pushes down on it, and there's a slight gap right now that the towel is going to sit into.

If you can't get it to work with that, then I'd call it good enough the way it is, but I suspect just a touch more recline would be a good thing.

I agree... Not to mention the towell may make it to where there is no movement.
