View Full Version : Talk to me about double strollers

Right now I'm using a Graco Snugrider for Baby S. For Sofi alone, I had been using an Evenflo umbrella stroller that I 95% (the seat doesn't recline- but it does have a cup holder and a basket). I also have a Chicco something.... Cortina I think (It's the big stroller that usually comes with the KF travel system). I really liked that for Sofi, even though it seemed kinda long. But since she's older, I got the Envenflo.

I'm thinking I may want a double stroller. But I think I hate double strollers. I don't like the front/back ones because they are so long and hard to drive. I don't like the side by side because they are so wide. But I'm sure there will be times where a double will really be nice to have. But then again, Sofi's almost 2 1/2 and is very active. Will she really want to sit in a stroller? I do plan on using a harness (uh... the leash kind) for her (like at the state fair I imagine).

If I were to buy a double, this is what I'd want.....
-umbrella type, folds very small
-basket underneath
-cup/ things holder at least for adult
-preferable 5pt harness for Baby S
-Not too wide to go through doors (is that possible?)
-Not terribly expensive (though when she was pregnant, MomBoss had offered to buy one for me)

Any thoughts?

Edit: I forgot in my list of wants, I also want a canopy that can rotate fully. WHat good is a canopy if the sun is still in the baby's face???

THat was a backpack. Do you think I can fit a 2 1/2 year old and an under 1 both in there?

Push the button that says "yesterday's deal". It changed at 8 p.m.

Thanks. I did find the "yesterday" button. It looks like a nice stroller. But not a rotating canopy (which I realized I left off the list once I saw it). And by the time we're ready to buy, I'm sure the deal will be gone.

I plan on using the Snugrider at least until spring. THe SS1 is soooo heavy (maybe I didn't realize that with Sofi because she was tiny?). I almost can't wait to stop lugging that thing around. But it too cold to be taking her in and out right now.
