I just purchased a Britax Regent for my 3 1/2 year old. She weighs 37lbs and is 36 inches tall, but has a long torso. Therefore I was in the market for a new seat with few choices. I installed my Regent into my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer. No small feat. Those instructions are riduclous. My question is with the versa tether. I got the seat installed. :) The versa tether has a twist in it. I read from one of the other posts that a twist is acceptable. My problem is with routing the tether over the seat. My headrest is not removable or adjustable. :( My tether anchor is behind the seat on the floor of the cargo area. In order to latch the tether I had to route it around either side of the headrest. Is this OK?
Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, the Britax tethers are V-shaped, and naturally go around the headrest anyway. It's just the single strap kind where you have to go over or under the headrest. You can post pictures of your install though, if you'd like all the helpful people here to double check for you :).

My tether strap "straddles" the head rest. I think that is what you mean and yes as mentioned by the pp that is normal. Hope you like the Regent and BTW install gets easier with practice.;)

Just make sure you used the "long belt path" since your daughter is under 40 lbs :).

How do you know if you have the latch routed correctly for the long path. The instructions are hard to follow. I have seen the install video on you-tube. It doesn't show the routing of the latch straps just how to install the seat into the car. I think I deciphered the instructions. The childs right latch strap actually goes across the back of the seat on the outside of the harness correct? I have pictures of my actual install of my regent. I will post just to double check.

Is it possible for your back row to collapse? I have my Regent in the center of my Tahoe, but when I move it outboard- I collapse the folding bench, it collapses the headrest so the bench folds flat. Pull the bench seat back up but keep the headrest down. So my headrests are non removable, but I can get them out of the way if I need to.

If not, it's okay for the tether to go on the sides of the headrest as long as it's a tight fit. :)
