CPSTs in Los Angeles?

I am looking for a CPST in the West Los Angeles area to check our installations. Is anyone on here located near by?

You are going to have a hard time finding them. I still cant belive that in a city as large as L.A there are very few techs. :(

One of our members does live in that area, but she is not in the country. :o

You can try to find one through the CHP, but those are hit or miss. I have had both a good and bad experience with their Techs.

I live in the Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena area and have only been able to find a CHIP to inspect. It takes about 3 weeks to get an appointment. A friend said that Right Start in Sherman Oaks has a tech, but I assume you would have to buy your seat from them in order to get the inspection.

I wish I would have known! I just got back from L.A. Wednesday. I really wanted to do a seat check while I was there!

Marc Cohen came out a few years back to help us. I don't know if he'd be able to help you at this time but it's worth a try. (We are also in the Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena area.)

Hopefully I will be certifying this year (if everything works out as we hope) and if so, once I get a few checks under my belt I'm sure I'll be getting lots of requests for help because yeah, there's a DEARTH of techs out here. We found him by chance (didn't know this site) after much frustration and 6 people who didn't return our calls or said, "Sorry, can't help you" even though they were listed in the tech database.
