Are Turbo & SS3 the same thing?

I looked in Walmart over the weekend at the booster seats. There was only one Turbo there and it said "Turbo Safeseat 3." Are they one in the same? I thought they were two different seats. The one on display was black and white, kind of a dot pattern and was about $60.

yes same seat. there might be just cover/padding differences but yes all the same

The Graco Turbobooster has been around for a while. Then a few years ago (2? 3? ) Graco announced it was going to the "SafeSeat" system. Safe Seat 1 (an infant carrier 5-30 pounds), SafeSeat II (toddler seat 20-40 pounds) and SafeSeat III (formerly the Turbo, 30-100 pounds)


Well, the SafeSeat system was a gigantic FAIL in CPS terms :rolleyes: because everyone else was going to HWH and ERF and Graco really didn't do its market research. The SafeSeat 1 has been renamed the SnugRide32, the SafeSeat 2 has been renamed the KozyKline (and hopefully will be turned into a convertible to replace the ComfortSport :whistle:) and the SafeSeat 3 is going back to the Turbobooster name.

Thanks guys - wanted to make sure before I buy anything!

I didn't know about all the name changing. I guess that's what happens when I don't read about carseats for a few months! :)
