I know that some cars don't allow a restraint to touch the seat in front of it.
My vehicle manual says, "Do not install a child restraint system on the rear seat if it interferes with the lock mechanism of the front seats." Bolding mine. It then shows a picture showing a front seat hitting a rfing convertible.
To me, this wording means that as long as the recline of the front seat is in a locked position that it doesn't matter if it touches. What does it mean to you?
Then it goes on to say, "If the driver's seat position does not allow sufficient space for safe installation, install the child restraint system on the rear right seat."
This to me kind of indirectly says to me to not let me touch.
No where does it explicitly say to not allow them to touch.
My MA and BLVD both touch the seat in front of them, should I change that?
TIA.
