I was testing out the Frontier in my parents' 2000 Pontiac Grand Am last night since it will need to go in there on Saturdays. I wanted to install it in the center seat so I have to use the SBP since it's only a lap belt. Does this look ok to you?

It looks to me like it's a bit high into the belt path, and might loosen. Did you twist down the buckle stalk? It's tough, but doable, in DH's 99 Grand Am (which looks similar, from what I can see). The stitching where the belt stalk is sewn to itself is stiff, and make it more difficult. I was able to do one half twist, then work that half twist down below the level of the seat cushions, then do another half twist. I don't remember how many total I was able to do that way, but it was enough to install a Radian.
If twisting down the stalk doesn't get it down far enough, you can give the male end of the buckle a half twist to keep the tail parallel with the belt.

Grab at the belt path kind of hard and yank it side to side. If it's tilted and going to loosen, it'll do it when you test it that way. If it stays tight, you're fine. If it loosens, try the tips pixels mentioned.

If you're having trouble getting the buckle stalk twisted, you might have more luck if you can reach down below the stitched part and start your twist there.
