I currently have a Bob Revolution, which I love BTW, but am going to soon need a double stroller. I am thinking about the Phil and Teds because I think the Bob Double is too bulky for me. But which Phil and Teds? Or is there another double out there that might work well for me?

I use my stroller for exercising (walking) and also for shopping at malls etc.

i have the P&T e3 which is now the classic i think and we love it. it does the job when we go on trips but i wouldn't take it to the mall with me unless i'm really motivated. it is heavy for the malls. exercising would be fine if you lock the front wheel. wouldn't recommend it on unpaved road. it has no shocks. i haven't looked into all the other P&T ones available. if $ were no object, i would get the lightest one possible.

WHy do you think the Bob is to bulky? I used the BOB exclusively with twins for 3 years. It fit through all but one bathroom door at a restaurant. I had no problem getting it in and out of the trunk of my pontiac. In fact it is still stored there! We are keeping it until the kids no longer fit. I highly recommend it (Bob revolution, that is)

I have trouble pushing my Bob single through certain stores (i.e. The Children's Place, Gymboree) because of it's size - it is wide. I saw a lady once with the double trying to manuever through Old Navy and I felt so bad for her.

I don't shop a lot, but when I do need to, I don't want to have to worry about where my kiddos are. Also, during the nicer months, I go walking about 3-4 times a week, usually on streets. I don't like to lock my front wheel on the Bob. I tried it once (at Baby Boot Camp) and hated it. I much prefer the front tire not be locked.

I would look at the Phil and Ted & Baby Joggers

I love my P&T Sport with doubles kit! In newborn/toddler mose it's great because no one is thinking they can touch your newbie-they don't even know there is a newbie! In toddler/toddler mode, it was a breeze to steer with my 30 guy on top and my 20 lb nephew in the bottom. And I could still shove my Skip Hop Dash in the basket!

If you don't like sbs ones, I also recommend the P&T (E3 version). There's NO WAY I would try shopping with a sbs stroller! And I actually love the P&T when shopping! Especially when I only have 1 kid riding in it - I use the back seat for bag storage - it's great for Target shopping (if you're not getting large items)!! I actually bought a BJCMS and ended up selling it cause I missed the storage space the P&T gave me. I've used it once with a baby & toddler and will be using it again that way when DD arrives in April.

ETA: I use it with the carseat in front, and the toddler in the back seat (DS2 didn't do lying flat!). Who knows though, maybe DD will be okay laying in the back. We'll see.

i would also suggest trying the P&T. i too have the e3. it's nice...like what 2lilmokeys said. but it's heavy to me b/c i had a lighter stroller before. if you're used to BOB, then it'll prolly be lighter. it's just i've never taken it to the mall.

I do remember that at Gymboree..... I usually shopped on line with the kids were littler... now that they walk and "listen", we don't take the stroller. Also at grocery stores, I just used two shopping carts instead of the double, usually. I liked it for Dr. appointments, going to "anchor" stores if I needed to take the kids, and used the handicapped restrooms and dressing rooms.... I usually shopped at Marshal Fields in Chicago, and the stroller fit there no problem.

I don't shop a lot, but when I do need to, I don't want to have to worry about where my kiddos are. Also, during the nicer months, I go walking about 3-4 times a week, usually on streets. I NEVER had the wheel fixed. That was the main reason I bought the revolution.

I think Baby Jogger makes a nice double, with moving front wheels. We went with Bob because we could get a good discount through a local store, and we really liked the "hoods," and the removable diaper bag.

I am a BOB lover I guess. It was one of my favorite pieces of Baby Gear.

Good luck in your search. A stroller you like and that is comfortable is SOOO important!

any of the phil and ted strollers will be great... the debate in which one comes down to features... if you need the rear seat to recline slightly and need a handlebar that is more easy to adjust and has more variety of adjust positions, go with the sport.

if the classic does everything you need, get that.

And if you want something that looks like it is out of a technology book, get the vibe (however, I've read about problems with it .... varying ones... so be careful, but the customer service is good... not great, like it was when phil and ted green were running it... since they sold to regal lager, it's just not the same). However, it does fold with the doubles seat attached, but that isn't a huge deal for me.

I had the E3/Classic for awhile and it was awesome... I didn't kick the rear seat with my shins, as I did when I tried out the sport, which was why I didn't bother going for the sport... and the rear seat has enough natural recline for my liking.

So if you are tall, stick with the classic... if not, either the classic or the sport is good... though the sport offers more color choices. (and if you wait till you know what you are having, or buy an extra fabric set to mix and match according to who is using what seat when, you could SO do one seat apple, red, or blue, and one seat a different color.

There is going to be more, though... the dash and the hammerhead... the hammerhead is different because it has 4 wheels it also has the smart handle with trigger fold and braking mechanisms

the dash will come with removeable "active seat" inserts for more padding, and a smart handle with trigger fold and handle break.

Thanks everyone. I thought my Bob was expensive - until I looked at P&T's! Yikes. I am not tall, neither is DH, so I don't think kicking the stroller by accident should pose a problem.

Do the P&T's come with both seats or is that an extra? Also, does anyone know where they are made at?

you can't compare P&T price to the single BOB... the toddler seat is extra but some sellers bundle them. you can try finding it used on CL. i bought mine from ebay new pretty cheaply. you just have to have patience bidding. i saw them once on sale at the end of the year clearance at the rightstart store.

P&T is an aussie or is it a kiwi company. the stroller or at least the cover is probably made in china... b/c i took the cover off (the seam ripped) and i saw some chinese writings in chalk on it. it looked like it was sample and probably why i got it so cheaply.

i saw the sport toddler seat... if you really want to recline, i think the sport may fit in the classic. but i did check out the sport toddler seat... the recline is useless unless you have a very small toddler b/c the child's head will hit the frame eventually so the recline is useless.

Yeah, I don't see the point of the recline.

Yeah, it's stupid that the recline goes under the bar. That said, I do like having the recline for DS2 as he still fits and uses it frequently.

I've loved my P&Ts. I have the classic- from before they had all the other options. I love that thing. I used it from when DS was a newborn (as in days old) and DD was nearly 4 and will be using it again soon when #3 arrives. I don't use it much now since DD is 5.5 and doesn't really ride anymore, but sometimes use it as a single since it's just so nice. It was pretty much the only stroller I used from when DS was born till DD was 4.5- so for a year at least. We took it on vacation, I used it at the mall, the zoo, etc. It fits anywhere a Graco Quattro will- easy.

I had no problem putting DS in either of the seats once he was 6 weeks old (with a snuzzler) when he didn't want to be laying down, so I personally wouldn't make the recline a priority. The friend I know that has one with it never uses it since her DD's head hits the bar.
