Hi, I'm in the UK and I have a 7 month old son who is currently in an infant carrier. He is around 17lbs. I need 2 seats for him in mine and my husbands car.

I want to keep him rear facing as long as possible. I've looked at sweedish seats but I only have a budget of about £100 per seat and I doubt it would fit in my car as I have a 3 door suzuki swift and another carseat in as well.

It is RF up to 29lbs and FF up to 40lbs. The cheapest I've found is £89.99 from Halfords. Is that a good price and is it the best carseat I can get for him to RF as long as possible?

Thanks Jenny!:)

It's not a bad seat but the rear facing weight is IMO very low (by the Swedish standards....). I think it's tough to find anything great at your budget.

In case you go with a Swedish seat you would want the Britax Hi-Way which does rear facing to 25 kg (55 lbs) and takes the least amount of room of any Swedish set. But the cost is unfortunately far more than your budget.

There is the Polaric Recaro, rf to 40 lbs, but it's Isofix and takes lots of room. Overall, the car seat situation in UK is depressing
