I currently have a SR to use for this next baby, but the cover is ripped around the back so I need a new cover. I found this one today. Is this a gray base?

do you think it would go with a gray base if it is not gray?

I also like this one.

I want something gender neutral. Do you think these covers would be okay for a boy or a girl?

The first one is tan, the second one is gray. I think either would work for girl or boy.

The first one, the Broad Street pattern is a rear-adjust, though, if that matters to you.

For me, it wouldn't matter if the base and seat were two different colors, I mean, no one is really going to see the base but you;). But I know it drives some people totally bonkers to have a tan seat in a car with gray interior, so I guess that depends on you.

That 'Broad Street' one doesn't have a front adjust... I'm sure it'd be fine with a silver base, but do make sure it's got (or doesn't have, depending on your seat) a hole for the adjuster.

Would you be kind of limited to the covers the Graco site sells, though? Do they sell all of them?

Well, heck, Joy, I'd rep you for that if I could :D. You beat me to it.

PS, now it's in the correct forum, but I still ran out of rep for the day :p

So if it doesn't come with a hole I can't use it on my front adjust?

How can you find out what covers they sell? I didn't find any on the website.

Do I need to replace my cover if it has a small tear on the back near the release button? DH doesn't want to.

If it's just a small tear, you could probably just repair it by hand. I don't think it would be a safety issue. If your seat is relatively new, I would call Graco & complain about how well the cover held up; they might send you a new one (or at least make a deal w/ you).

To order a new cover from Graco, you have to order it like a replacement part using a Model Number and a DOM. If your seat is the 20#/26" model, you'll probably need to use you own model number. If they're out of your cover, they'll send you a different one (whatever they have). If you're worried about what they'll send, call them instead of doing it on line. If your seat is a 22#/29" model, you just need to look on their site to find another seat that adjusts the same way (front adjust if yours is front adjust) and has a cover you like. Plug that seat's model number into the replacement parts section instead of your seat's model number. Use your seat's DOM or make one up. The cover (AKA seat pad) should be available for purchase (unless it's out of stock). You can also order a canopy, head support, etc. to match.
