I am having trouble with finding a convertible car seat that will fit well in my Jeep Liberty, we will most likely be using it in the rear passenger seat, unless we can find one that fits in the center well. We bought an Eddie Bauer deluxe 3 in 1 seat but we are having trouble installing it rear facing in our car.

I was wondering the instructions say that the seat has to be in the fully reclined position if its RF. But that makes it take up almost our whole car! Can older infants be put in a more upright position?

I would appreciate any help on a very safe, hopefully not too expensive seat if no one knows the answer to the previous question.

Thank you!

Could you let us know the stats of the child? Weight, height, and age?

Without knowing those details, how about the Cosco Scenera? It isn't expensive (around $43) and isn't bulky.

If the manual states it has to be in reclined position while RF, then it has to be, but older infants and toddlers can usually safely be between 30 & 45 degree angles, being more upright than a newborn.

We had a Britax Marathon in ou Liberty. It took about 2 seconds to install (with latch) and was rock solid both rf and ff.
