I was reading my Dodge Caravan (2003) manual yesterday to find out the LATCH limit and it does not say anywhere in there. I guess I'm to assume it's 40 pounds?
Okay, my next question is this:
I have 3 kids and #4 due in June (so I have a few months to figure this all out). Right now, I have 6 1/2 yo 49" 49lb. in HBB (either Evenflo Big Kid Deluxe or Turbo Booster), rear-seat, outboard. 4yo 41" 30lb. in Nautilus Captain's chair. 2yo 34" 21 lb (I'm guessing here, she's tall & skinny too) in a Titan RF Captain's chair.
I have a SS1 for the baby. It seems logical to move the Nautilus to the back seat and put the baby in the Captain's chair but...
I have only one tether in the back and it's in the center. 2 problems with that. First, I don't know if my oldest can buckle his seatbelt with the Nautilus next to him. Second, I know they will fight like crazy if they are next to each other.
Another problem: If I move the Nautilus to the back and have 2 RF seats, my older kids cannot get in & out of the car. They will be fine getting in (before I put the SS1 into it's base) but what about when I drop my son at school? He won't be able to get out.
Do you think I can put the Titan, Nautilus, and SS1 on the back seat (Nautilus in the center), HBB in the one Captain's chair, and take one Captain's chair out (to make it easier to get the SS1 in & out)?
What would you suggest?
Yes, I'm a tech but it's so stinkin' cold, I thought it would be nice to get some suggestions before I go try it all out. I don't even know if I can get 3 across with the width of the Nautilus.
My other option is to turn the Titan around FF. She'll be 2 years 3 months by the time the baby comes.
