My friend has a Titan 5 that she is having some problems with. She doesn't know where the manual is and I can't find one on-line.
A couple of questions for her...
Can the head support be removed once the child is older? Her son does not need it and we'd like to take it out, but I want to be sure it's okay to do so.
Adjuster....
The seat is hard to adjust, so much so, her wrist is feeling it! I think the sewn part of the harness straps are catching b/c the loops to hold the splitter plate are quite big and the sewn part must feed through the slots when adjusted. (I hope that makes sense.) Where the loop is sewn there is a flap of fabric that seems to be getting caught. The sewn flap is currently facing down, so with a rf, child they are catching when pulled. Can the whole harness be removed and flipped over so the sewn flap will be up and not catch? Obviously the buckles and chest clip will need to be removed and put back on correctly. Are there other fixes for this?
I am not a fan of this seat for her to begin with b/c she has a very tall child, but she thought she got a great deal. I had encouraged her to get the Triumph Advance and told her about the 50lb thing. She thinks this is just a good b/c it also goes to 50 lbs. Too bad it isn't a taller seat!!!
Thanks!
