Issues adjusting Snugride harness...

Just today, I started having trouble with the harness on my snugride. I haven't changed anything about it. Yesterday, it was okay. Today, it is not. I have a front adjusting harness. I loosen the straps every time I get the baby out. When leaving today, I went to tighten her up and the straps tightened unevenly. One side was tight and the other side was not as tight. It was crazy loose, but I could pinch the strap and I couldn't on the other side. We played with the seat for a bit but could not figure it out. I had dh pull it tight while I looked underneath the seat. I couldn't see any problem at all. So I just pulled it till the looser side was tight enough, but the other side was too tight. Does anybody know why it would do that?

do you have the splitter plate over the top of the manual holder?

I ask because I did when I used my SR for ds. :o sometimes the splitter plate would get hung up and do what you're describing.

here's a picture of it routed incorrectly. It should be under that plastic casing.

Thanks for the tip. It's under. I will probably call Graco tomorrow.

Maybe try pulling the harness out as loose as it will go so that it even back out? Then when you tighten it maybe it would tighten more evenly? I've had to do that once with my MA.....I just pulled it out as loose as it would go and then when I tightened it it evened back out. Just a thought.

Check the hip strap ends. Maybe one slipped out of place.
