So I was reading another thread and it said you can remove the base on the seat for an easier installation.....I think it was an AOE.

Well I'm gonna kick myself if the answer is yes, but can you remove the base on this seat? DD had it prior to the Nautilus and we had the hardest time installing it in the Camaro due to how wide the base was.

This is in our 2004 Jeep Liberty because we couldn't get it in the Camaro correctly.

yup. you can take the base off the Dorel 3in1s in harnessed mode. IME, they install better in pretty much every vehicle without them. As a side note, you must remove the base for booster mode.

GRRRRRRRRR......

I let that seat waste away in the garage for the longest time because we couldn't get a good install with it. I always wondered about taking the base off but never pursued it....

Well at least I know for future reference now.........

uh, except that's not a 3-in-1. I'm pretty sure it's a combo, which I don't think you can take the base off of.

Yeah, that looks like the Summit? I don't think the base removes on the Summit.

Yeah it is the EB deluxe highback booster. It is equivalent to the Summit. SO no?!

No, I don't think so.

ETA: looked it up in the online manual. Base is not removable on the Summit/EB Deluxe.
